Want to give your team a corporate activity that actually gets the pulse racing? At Beach Center in Göteborg, you'll play beach volleyball on real competition courts — right in the world's largest indoor beach volleyball arena, with white sand underfoot and palm trees all around.
The venue is located directly adjacent to Prioritet Serneke Arena and features 28 indoor courts. Everyone from beginners to elite players competes here, and Beach Center organises tournaments tailored to your group's size and level. Whether you have eight or eighty participants, it's possible to create matches that engage everyone. The sand, the sound of waves and the warm lighting make it feel more like a beach in Rio than a hall in Kviberg.

How a beach volleyball tournament works
Beach Center organises the tournament based on the size of your group. The most common format is a round-robin where teams rotate between courts. Each match is short and intense — around ten minutes — which keeps the pace up and ensures no one has time to get bored on the sidelines.
For smaller groups, perhaps twelve to fifteen people, the format is adapted with simpler games and drills that work even for those who have never touched a volleyball. An instructor is on hand to explain the rules and keep the energy going. It usually takes about five minutes before the competitive instinct kicks in — regardless of department.
Between matches, you can settle into the deck chairs and order something from the bar. That's one of the things that makes beach volleyball such a popular corporate activity in Göteborg: it's physical, social and relaxed all at once.
Corporate activity in Göteborg with a beach vibe
It doesn't matter if it's pouring outside — inside Beach Center, it's always summer. The temperature is kept comfortable, the sand is warmed and the soundscape of birdsong and waves creates an atmosphere that's hard to match in an ordinary conference room.
Many companies choose to combine beach volleyball with a conference day at Kviberg Park. You hold your morning meeting in one of our conference rooms, have lunch at restaurant Glenn, then change into shorts and a t-shirt for the afternoon tournament. All under one roof, with no need to drive or book a taxi.
Weather permitting, there are also outdoor courts available. This adds an extra dimension during the summer months, but the indoor hall is open year-round.

Frequently asked questions about beach volleyball
How many participants are needed for a tournament?
You can play with as few as six people and upwards. Beach Center adapts the format to the size of your group — smaller groups get simpler games and drills, while larger groups can run a full round-robin tournament.
Do we need to bring our own equipment?
No, all equipment is provided on site. All you need to bring is comfortable clothes to move around in. Changing rooms with showers are available adjacent to the hall.
How long does a beach volleyball activity take?
The duration of a tournament depends on the size of your group and how many matches you want to fit in — Beach Center will tailor the format to suit your party.
Can we combine beach volleyball with other activities?
Absolutely. Many companies combine beach volleyball with a quiz, Cornhole or a session in the relaxation area. We'll help you plan a full day with multiple activities.
Does it work for people who have never played beach volleyball?
Yes, that's one of the great advantages. The instructor adapts the rules and format so that everyone can participate regardless of experience. The focus is on having fun, not on winning.
